MAYUMBA-TCHIBANGA LINE
TEIKO NATIONAL RAILWAYS CORPORATION BID
Isshin Kurosaku
CEO and Chairman
December 9, 2015

PREFACE
The Teiko National Railways Corporation is proud to present its bid for the Mayumba-Tchibanga
Line Project in the Nyangan Free State. The Teiko National Railways Corporation is the sole operator
and maintenance provider of all existing and operating passenger railway lines in the Federal
Kingdom of Teiko. It also operates a number of freight and special rail lines across the archipelago.
Tracing its roots from the Royal Railways Corporation which was established through by a Royal
Charter of former Prince Hideyoshi in 1905, the company has grown to become the premier railways
operator in Teiko. Since 1986, it has adopted its current name and has become a public-private
enterprise under the Ministry of Transportation. Now, it is considered as one of the largest
corporations in the country.
In line with this, we express our deep desire to develop and modernize the rail networks in the
Nyangan Free State. In this proposal, we shall include the package that the Teiko National Railways
Corporation is offering.

In line with these requests, the Teiko National Railways Corporation is accepting the following

Expansion of selected rail networks from single line track to double line track
Construction of all passenger stations between Tchibanga and Mayumba
Procurement of the British Rail Class 56s and associated passenger carriages and freight cars

the next 25 years which can be renewable and amendable as agreed upon by both parties

WHY CHOOSE TEIKO NATIONAL RAILWAYS CORPORATION?
We believe in development and empowerment. The Teiko National Railways Corporation is
interested in creating a world class rail network in the Nyangan Free State.
For this project, the management of the Teiko National Railways Corporation decided to optimize
the use of diesel engine for the following reasons:

Cheaper maintenance and operating cost
Excess money in rail network construction (i.e. catenaries, substations et al) can be used in
building modern and accessible train stations
Cheaper procurement of train engine and associated carriages

In line with this, we have also weighted the advantages of electric multiple units and train sets.
However, aside from the barely significant difference in economic life and almost variably nonnegative economic effects correlation, the pros of an improved diesel train network outweighs its
cons.
The Teiko National Railways Corporation is also willing to further invest in the improvement and
expansion of other rail networks across the country. The company is also open in the possible
acquisition or partnership with the Nyangan Rail Service in the goal of achieving a more efficient and
people-friendly transportation system in Nyanga.
In the end, we are truly eager in looking forward from hearing for a response.
