Re: Recommendation, Larra Conville
I am pleased to offer my recommendation of Ms. Conville. I first met Larra in January 2011
when I had the privilege of being her art professor in a beginning basic design course. During the
extended hours of studio art classes there is an opportunity to observe and study people. She
gained my attention and respect from the outset and as her major professor and advisor in
graphic design I remained in continuous contact until her recent graduation with the Bachelor of
Fine Arts degree in December 2014.
She has been one of my most dependable and consistent graphic design students. She
always attempted to find a new way to approach a design task to reach a creative and successful
conclusion. Her artworks can be quite precise and at the same time retain innovative and
imaginative vibrancy. She is quite confident and decisive in her approach to design form, yet
always cooperative and supportive in collaborative team situations.
Larra is a self-starter with an admirable work ethic. She never hesitates to seek and accept
new challenges such as freelance opportunities or applying her expertise to on-campus requests.
She is eager to accept criticism and integrate every experience into improved output. Extracurricular activity and successful involvement in multiple internships are further testament to her
passion and commitment as a student and artist. She has successfully participated in many
exhibition opportunities on and off campus.
Larra has many friends, is popular, and well liked by all who know her. As a student she
very successfully balanced her home life, work experiences, and regular studies.
In summary, Ms. Conville is a quick, bright, receptive, dependable, and personable
communicator with a unique blend of charismatic charm, humility, humor and insight. I consider
her to be a very fine young woman of integrity and high character. She is most worthy of your
consideration and I know that she would be an asset to any endeavor.
