About Us

The Collective is the brainchild of two nerdy
fangirls compelled to write about the things
we love–tv, movies, books, fashion and
fandomania in general–and share our
insights into geek culture with the world.
Since the Collective Blog’s inception in
2013, we have grown to a staff of six
recurring contributors, and have thousands
of subscribed readers from across the globe.
We support the creative community: the
intellectual, the technological, and the
individual. Our posts cover a range of topics,
such as: film/television reviews, convention
coverage, cosplay tutorials, academic
discussions, and promotions for
transformative works. Our target audience is
the fans of the things we love, and while
most of our readers are female, we embrace
fans of all ships, sizes, and demographics.
