This is a hosted tour specifically designed for
teachers of wine, hospitality, commercial
cookery, agriculture and tourism.
Start the day after breakfast, meeting the maker and
owner of Australian Vinegar, Ian Henderson taking a
look at the new premises of this national Agritourism
business.
We then visit a ‘Dog show with bite” attraction in the
Granite Belt, Law Dogs. Experience a demonstration of protection, detection and agility in a sit down
show at this privately owned training kennel.
Pick-your-own agritourism experience at Strawberry
Fields for fruit that tastes like lollies. We then travel
to meet industry leaders and pioneers of the
Queensland Wine Industry, Ballandean Estate and
a chat with the chef, Travis Crane from the Barrel
Room Café. Two course lunch included.
We then meet jam makers at Jam Works. Using
locally grown produce where possible, this busy little
business will share some secrets to their jam success. We’ll finish the day with sunset wine tasting
and regional, seasonal dinner with matching wines
at Jester Hill Winery. We’ll meet the owners and
hear their story. Transfers back to accommodation.
Please note: Self drive = same price
