MPP Tracy MacCharles, MPP Joe Dickson and MPP Granville Anderson visited Quantum CNC
in Whitby today to celebrate the nuclear supply chain linked to the Darlington refurbishment
program.
The refurbishment program at the Darlington Generating Station will boost Ontario’s GDP by
$15 billion, create up to 11,800 highly-skilled jobs annually, and ensure Ontario’s electricity
system remains clean, reliable, and affordable for all.
Quantum CNC and StonCor are two of more than 180 companies that contribute to Ontario’s
globally recognized CANDU nuclear supply chain and both will play an integral role in the
Darlington refurbishment project.

The Darlington refurbishment project is on track to begin in October 2016.



The refurbishment of all four units is expected to involve about 30 million hours of work
over 10 years.
