Malta Film Commission, Malta (March 2015 - October 2015)
Visual Content Assistant

My  main  tasks  whilst  working  with  the  Malta  Film  Commission  
were  to  produce  visual  content  for  marke ng  and  adver sing    
campaigns,  to  create  original  promo onal  video  material  and  
generally  support  the  Malta  Film  Commission  with  any  of  its  
video/photo  requirements.
During  my   me  with  the  MFC,  I  was  required  to  visit  film  sets  of  
large  Hollywood  produc ons  such  as  Michael  Bay’s  ‘13  Hours:  The  
Secret  Soldiers  of  Benghazi’  and  ‘Assassins  Creed’  on  official  media
business  for  the  film  commission.  

Photography
I  was  responsible  for  researching,  planning  and  conduc ng  loca on  recces  for  the
purpose  of  photographing  the  landscapes  and  using  the  images  as  part  of  the  
MFC’s  Loca on  Library  and  for  use  in  various  marke ng/adver sing  strategies.  I  
would  also  reguarly  photograph  specific  landscapes,  architecture  and  general  areas  
that  were  required  for  a  clients  brief/enquiry.

on  to  the  na onal  press  and  to  use  internally  for
marke ng    and  online  use.

Videography
‘Malta Standing In As’ Promotional Video

I  created  a  promo onal  video  with  the  purpose  of  highligh ng  Malta’s  
poten al  to  stand  in  and  double  for  other  countries.  I  used  aerial  drone  
cinematograpy  as  a  key  technique  to  illustrate  the  various  landscapes  and  
features  that  Malta  has  to  offer.  The  clip  has  been  broadcast  on  Maltese  
Na onal  Television  and  is  used  in  the  Malta  Film  Commission’s  Loca on  Library.

Video Interviews With Film Cast & Crew
I  was  responsible  for  producing,  filming  and  edi ng  a  number  of  tes monial
interviews  with  film  industry  proffesionals  such  as  James  Badge  Dale  (Iron  Man  3,  
The  Departed),  Frank  Marshall  (Jurassic  World,  Back  to  the  Future)  and  Pete  Romano
(Incep on,  Star  Trek)  who  were  in  Malta  filming  for  their  relevant  produc ons.  All  
these  interview  shoots  required  me  to  be  on  highly  secre ve  film  sets  where  I  was  
required  to  sign  Agreement  of  Codifen ality  forms  and  abide  by  a  strict  code  of  
prac ce.

Television Commercials
‘90  Years  of  Film  Concert’
Using  footage  given  to  us  by  the  orchestra  and  using  archive  footage  of  exis ng  films
that  were  shot  in  Malta,  I  created  two  TV  commercials  which  were  aired  daily,  five
or  more   mes  during  prime   me  hours  on  Malta’s  leading  television  network,  TVM.
