Kevin LeBlanc
Projects ordered by significance. Projects at the end do not apply to the skills needed for the
internship but showcase some of my creative and artistic talent.
Full Spectrum 45W CO2 Laser Engraver
TruBlue Belay Device - Reverse Engineering
Created a CAD model of the belay device for an Air
Force Research Lab design competition. The device
controls the descent of rope via an eddy current
braking system.
80cc Motorized Bicycle
Custom fit an 80cc 2-stroke engine onto a bicycle
frame and installed upgrades such as a jackshaft kit
to gain access to the bicycle's gears and reach top
speeds of 30 mph.
Removed the bottom of the laser engraver and
created a sliding tray with adjustable heights to
accommodate various part sizes and expand the
capabilities of the engraver. The water filtration
system behind the machine was also custom made.
Edison Pendant Lights
Self-designed, built, and wired system with
aluminum base.
Monkeypod Wood Slab Coffee Table
Sanded and finished the wood slab as well as cut,
welded, and painted the feet for a rustic looking
coffee table.
Neodymium Magnet Bottle Opener & Cap
Catcher
Used a mill to create holes a depth of 0.005" from
the front face of the wood so that Neodymium
magnets could catch my father's bottle caps as a
birthday present.
Stanley Cup Scaled Replica
Created a Stanley Cup out of aluminum to show
support for the Bruins vs. the Blackhawks in the
2013 Finals.
Stained Glass Jimmy Buffett Tribute Guitar
Used knowledge of stained glass to create a truly
one-of-a-kind guitar.
