Home Tutoring Platform
How to make home tutoring accessible for everyone, at a reasonable price while preserving the
quality of the service? The answer is: Sousco, our matchmaking platform. «Getting access to high
quality home tutoring service at a very competitive price» is our leitmotiv.
Sousco is a platform that has a double vocation: educational and social one. Educational in the sense
that we want to democratize access to home tutoring in Morocco, for everyone. Social, by creating
part time jobs for graduated students. Sousco will allow them to generate a source of income.
In fact, in my country (Morocco), the person who provides home tutoring courses, is usually a
professor. The price of a lesson varies between 200DH (the equivalent of 18 euros) and 500DH (46
euros approximatively) for JUST ONE Hour. Which is limiting access to education, to a very specific
social category. And That's totally UNFAIR !
Since I'm entrepreneur, I’ve decided to focus on that specific market in order to facilitate access to
knowledge. And the idea is to scale back this fee schedule, while preserving the quality of the service.
How are we going to do that?
By creating ex nihilo (out of nothing) a new market where the supply matches the demand. A huge
existing demand by the way. In fact, a lot of students seek school and academic support in our
country. We intervene at that specific level to facilitate access to knowledge.
How do we proceed in practice?
By first of all making partnerships with universities and business schools, in order to get access to the
database of the best students that have a degree (minimum a bachelor). Then we are gonna meet
them to verify their informations, see if they want to work with us, and then, upload their profiles to
the platform, so it can be visible by everyone.
If the concept sounds simple, its implementation is relatively complex. To put it in a nutshell, for
now, we control the technical side. The platform will be online 15th March 2016. But in order to
acheive the concept we need investments for the marketing and communication compaign.
