K but if only Adam and Blue lived I would probably actually end up shooting
myself. First off we know Gansey’s gonna die so that’s already making me want to
kill myself but if anyone else dies I mean that’s it that’s really just it for me I’m
sorry I just can’t deal with anymore of Maggie’s bs it’s really just a bit too much
rn. I already know I’m gonna finish the Raven King in one day it’s gonna hurt a lot
I’m just praying for the poor people who have to deal with me the next day….
Wandering into school, bloody, a shell of a human. I am nothing, as long as Gansey
isn’t alive. I am nothing. Nothing. But rage. aaAAAAAAAAAAAAA

I scream, falling to the floor in the science room, opening my backpack and pulling
out a pocketknife identical to Blue’s, stabbing myself and drawing a transmutation
circle on the floor in blood. The school watches as I shakily place a crown, mint
plant, boat shoe, shredded polo shirt, and a pair of wire-framed glasses on the
points. I pull out a caged raven and put it in the center, whispering, “Chainsaw,
Chainsaw…”
Then I dump a bag of 35 liters of water, 20 kilograms of carbon, 4 liters of
ammonia, 4.5 kilograms of lime, 800 grams of phosphorus, 250 grams of salt, 100
grams of saltpeter, 80 grams of sulfur, 75 grams of fluorine, 5 grams of iron, 3
grams of silicon, and trace amounts of other elements into the circle.
For good measure, I line up the books around the circle, hoping it will account for
his soul. I begin to recite lines from each one.
“Gansey had always felt as if there were two of him: the Gansey who was in
control, able to handle any situation, able to talk to anyone, and then, the other,
more fragile Gansey, strung out and unsure, embarrassingly earnest, driven by
naive longing.”
