Beautiful, sweet, loving cat needs forever home. He is a very sweet, indoor only, boy who loves to just lie on
your chest and purr all day while you scratch him between the ears or on the chin. He is always at the door or in
the window when you get home waiting to greet you and gently rub his head on your leg to show you how
much he missed you while you were away. Very even tempered social cat who gets along well with other dogs
and cats and always wants to be near you or even people he does not know. Loves to play fetch, or with other
interactive toys such as Da Bird, and cuddle up and sleep with you at night or anytime. Always seems to know
when you have had a rough day and could use some cheering up and will come over and rub on you or sit or lay
with you to make you feel better.
He is a little bit of a special needs cat in that he needs ongoing treatment for chronic illnesses that he will likely
continue to need for the rest of his life. He suffers from Chronic Rhinitis, mild inflammation in his digestive
system, food sensitivities, and Acid Reflux. All of these are being treated by a holistic vet with great success but
do require a small bit of daily effort on the owners part. He must be fed at least 3 times a day, spaced at least 3
hours apart, from an elevated food dish with a probiotic, digestive enzymes, and algae supplement added to two
meals a day. Along with these two meals an herbal supplement must be given orally twice a day and natural
hydrocortisone given orally once a day, both with food, which he takes without any fight. I have only found two
foods that he is not sensitive to and rotate them every other day to avoid food sensitivity from occurring. Also
twice a day he must be given saline drops, one in each nostril, out of a dropper and once a day must be
nebulized for 15 minutes in a homemade chamber with a nebulizer attached both of which he willingly does
with no fight. Once a week he must be given a subcutaneous injection of Vitamin B12 which you can do at
home or usually have a vet do free of charge.
Monthly cost of food and supplements is about $200.00
He may require a little more time, energy, and effort than the average cat but is completely worth it with the
love, affection, cuddles and joy he provides.
He is definitely not a sickly cat in any way and acts completely normal other than the occasional sniffles and
sneezes and has plenty of good years left in him.
