EXHIBITOR SAFETY RULES ; THE NORTHERN SHOOTING SHOW
You are responsible for the health and safety of all your staff / team at all times
Smoking is not permitted in any indoor structure or workplace
Hot work is not permitted in any indoor structure UNLESS AUTHORISED VIA NSS STAFF
No petrol or diesel is allowed in the display areas ( except that contained in displayed vehicles or
tools )
You are responsible for the safe keeping and safe control of all your trade goods at al times ( this
includes firearms and associated materials / items )
Communication – if you need assistance or you are unsure of anything show related – contact the
NSS staff
All instructions issued by the show ground staff AND all NSS staff are to be followed
The traffic management routes within the show ground are to be followed at all times – the site
speed limit is to be observed at all times
Accidents – first aid – the show ground and each show area will have first aid cover. In the event
of needing first aid assistance contact EITHER the show ground staff OR NSS staff
Electrical safety – exhibitors ARE NOT to undertake any electrical installation or alterations at any
time within the display and show areas
Trips and falls – please ensure that cables are out of the way to reduce trip risks ( ideally taped
down )
Step ladders – if you need to use step ladders – please ensure
 Used on flat and level ground only
 Where possible to be footed by 2nd person
 Do not overreach
Waste – you are responsible for the removal of all waste generated by your presence – please
ensure that waste is removed and all areas kept in a clean / safe condition
Evacuation of the building ; Fire alarm : In the event of a fire alarm sounding the YEC / NSS
stewards will assist with evacuating all persons from the building.




You are to assemble at the muster point outside the building
Do NOT re enter the building until directed it is safe to do so by YEC / NSS staff
Emergency evacuation – please ensure that the issued emergency information is passed
on to all members of staff
