MEB Diplomas Extension - Frequently Asked Questions
1. What are the changes?
To ensure we continue to offer English language programs that support students’ success in their
Monash College diploma and university programs, Monash College will be extending the Monash
English Bridging (MEB) program for students on a pathway to Diplomas. The program will now
have a 10 and 20 week entry point. The first course affected by these changes is commencing on
22 August 2016.

2. Why did Monash College make these changes?
The additional five weeks and alignment of the entry requirements with destination programs will
ensure students are given adequate time to develop their language skills and be better equipped
on entry to deal with the linguistic demands of their destination program.
3. Which programs do the changes apply to?
The changes only apply to the MEB program for students on a pathway to Diplomas.

How do these changes affect students currently enrolled in Monash English?

If students are studying Monash English (ME) with the plan of commencing Diplomas in February
2017, they will be impacted by these changes. If they are successful in passing ME Intermediate
by August 19, 2016, they can enter the 20 week MEB Diploma on August 22, 2016.

8. Will the fees change?
Fees will remain $470 per week for MEB with a $295 administration fee. A 20 week MEB student
will pay $9400 + $295
