INTRODUCING NEW OUTREACH AND ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR
International Middle East Media Center Welcomes Alexandra Halaby
CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, April 12, 2016 – The International Middle East Media Center welcomes former
Spokeswoman, Alexandra Halaby, as the new IMEMC Outreach and Engagement Coordinator (OEC).
This position is a necessary undertaking by our media organization to promote and advance the
important work we provide to our reader’s on a daily basis. In her new capacity, Ms. Halaby will provide
public information to IMEMC reader’s through education. Her responsibilities will include social media
participation, program development, strategy formation and management, and public relations
facilitation for outreach and engagement.
As our OEC she will plan, implement, and coordinate modern approaches to connecting and interacting
with information consumers. Through social media campaigns, presentations, and online involvement,
Ms. Halaby will openly engage the IMEMC community using new media. In addition to her work in
outreach and engagement, Halaby will be responsible for developing volunteer opportunities,
education, and creating awareness of independent media coverage of Palestine-Israel through service
learning, community engagement, and outreach programs.
