Giramundo Project Recife

GIRAMUNDO is a project that provides the children contact with people of different
cultures and perspectives, who can teach them valuable lessons about cultural
awareness and the importance of being a global citizen.
We believe that when a child has the chance to see and understand the world outside
her home, she will develop a different perspective and the will to be part of it. Through
this kind of education, we can build a generation of children empowered to change the
world independently of the financial and social environment they live in.

To have a successful project, you can follow these axis of human development:
• Cultural Diversity: Make them understand different cultures, becoming cultural aware
and experiencing the interaction with a people of different perspectives;
• Entrepreneurship: Inserting the ability to innovate and break the comfort zone
imposed by paradigms, the axis enables the project participant put forward the needs
and solve them in different ways;
• Sustainability: Meeting the need to understand the proper use of natural resources,
relate activities that make the children aware of their responsibility with the world;
• Citizenship: Making the children aware of their rights and duties as citizens of their
city and world citizens.
