FUTURE MUSIC GROUP
MUSIC DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT
1.1 SERVICES PROVIDED – Upon consent of mutual agreement between Future Music Group and the artist,
Future Music Group will provide distribution of music created by the artist onto popular music platforms and
grant the artist a percentage of the profit, defined in ink or in type at the bottom of the agreement. Future Music
Group has the authority to remove any content by the artist if they do not comply with these terms. Distribution
will be by a private institution, chosen by Future Music Group. The artist will receive a weekly check or money
transfer through PayPal, Bitcoin, or Wire Transfer with the specified percentage of the profit, unless otherwise
specified by the artist or by the terms at the bottom of the agreement. Future Music Group is responsible for
maintaining the music that was distributed and making sure it complies with copyright laws. Any violation is
subject to removal from the specified stores.
1.2 Copyright – If an artist requests a song to be distributed and it does not comply with copyright laws before
release on distribution platforms, Future Music Group may reject the song and request a review of the music
before it be released on the distribution platforms. If there is a copyright issue after release on distribution
platforms, Future Music Group may cease or suspend the sale of the music. If there is no resolution to the
copyright claims, the music will no longer be sold on the platforms and will be returned to the artist. If any dollar
amount must be reimbursed, artist revenue will take priority and will be charged. Failure to comply with any
copyright claim fund requests by Future Music Group may result in legal action against the artist. Any copyright
fund claims by Future Music Group to the artist must have in writing or type the name of the original claimant
filing the copyright claim against the artist, and the exact amount due to the claimant. If found that another
artist or person(s) are using the original artist’s work without permission, Future Music Group is obligated to
take action against them to stop the use of copyrighted work, with fees charged if necessary to the artists or
person(s) using the original artist’s content without written or expressed permission by Future Music Group or
the original artist.
1.3 Artist Payment – Upon the release of the music on distribution platforms, the artist will receive a weekly
payment of a specified percentage of the profit of the music off of those distribution platforms. The specified
percentage is to be defined at the bottom of the agreement. All platforms in which the music is distributed upon
the artist is to receive the specified percentage of profits with the exception of the website www.youtube.com
on any channel other than the original artist’s as the payments are not tracked by Future Music Group to be
played out to the artist. If the music is placed on a channel on the website www.youtube.com not approved by
Future Music Group, a copyright claim will be filed by Future Music Group. The revenue from the distribution
platforms will be sent to either the PayPal account or bank account of Future Music Group and is required to
be split with the artist in the percentage specified at the bottom of the agreement. The artist will not be able to
see the account of Future Music Group unless a court order requires it.
1.4 Initial Fees – If the artist has no prior agreement with Future Music Group, there is to be an initial fee of
$20.00 USD per single to be distributed or $60.00 USD per album to be distributed across platforms by Future
Music Group. This fee may be charged prior to release or post release, out of the artist’s profit. No other initial
fees are to be charged to the artist unless specified by Future Music Group at the bottom of this agreement. If
there is an agreement made prior to the signing of this contract than any statements made in section 1.4 of this
agreement are to be voided.
1.5 Time before release upon distribution platforms – Upon the signing of this agreement, the artist may
have a delay of up to 4 weeks from when the agreement is signed to when the music is available for purchase.
Some stores may not accept the music due to copyright violations or content, in which case there is to be no
profit from that platform. The artist may specify a date for the music to be released on the distribution platforms
in which it is to be released on that date if possible. Any delays are not the responsibility of Future Music
Group.
1.6 Advertising – If the artist chooses, they may request Future Music Group to advertise their music on
advertising platforms to help the music sell. If the artist chooses, they must pay 100% of the costs of
advertising to Future Music Group. The artist may specify a budget in which Future Music Group may use to
advertise on platforms chosen by Future Music Group. The artist may also allow a portion of their profits of the
song to be directly used to advertise their music, rather than be payed out to them however, Future Music
Group will keep the full amount of their portion of the profit.
I, the artist requesting music Distribution services agree to all the terms mentioned in this agreement and to
any additional notes below.
