How to use essential oils: They may be applied to the skin, inhaled, or ingested. It is important to note
that most essential oils need to be diluted (preferably by a carrier oil) if it is to be directly applied to the
Lavender Oil: Lavender is gentle, non-toxic and nonirritant. It has a pleasant and calming scent that has
numerous health benefits. It is one of the most
recommended essential oils for skin care and its scent is
often used to induce sleep.
Peppermint Oil: Peppermint oil gives a cooling sensation and has a
calming effect on the body, which can relieve sore muscles when
used topically. Its antimicrobial properties can help to freshen bad
breath and soothe digestive issues. Due to its cooling sensation, it
is known to have given boosts in energy.
Frankincense Oil: Frankincense has powerful antiseptic
properties that help speed up healing including burns, scrapes
and cuts. It also helps to prevent infections. After wounds
have healed, this essential oil can be used to fade scars.
Tea Tree Oil: Tea tree oil has natural antimicrobial and antifungal properties. The oil can be used after
mixing with regular face wash or used in diluted form and massaged gently on the skin with a cotton
cloth to get rid of pimples, rash, red skin and other problems. A few drops of tea tree oil can be mixed
with normal shampoo and applied on the scalp to remove dandruff.
Rosemary Oil: Rosemary essential oil energizes and
stimulates the central nervous system. It clears the head,
aids memory, and relieves headaches and migraines. It can
also help to rid the body of cellulite and excess water.
Chamomile Oil: This oil has been evidenced to be very
effective in fighting depression and for raising spirits.
They eliminate feelings of sadness, depression,
disappointment, and sluggishness while inducing a
sort of happy or charged feeling. It also eliminates
infections that are already present.
