FOR ACHIEVEMENTS DURING MAY 2016

RULE ONE
AWARDS DEFINITIONS
(1)

Avakin Academy Awards of Merit shall be given monthly to honor outstanding artistic
and terrific achievements in theatrically released feature-length AvakinLife’s motion
pictures, and to honor other achievements as provided for in these rules and approved
by CMA.

(2)

Awards shall be conferred at a monthly Awards ceremony.

(3)

Avakin Awards of Merit in the form of the virtual gold statuette trophy of the Avakin
Academy (Constantine) which means converted as 10,000 avacoins gift by items shall
be conferred monthly for the following achievements:
ACTING :

Performance by an actor in a leading role.
Performance by an actress in a leading role.
Performance by an actor or an actress in a
supporting role.

DIRECTING :

Achievement in directing.

HOME PRODUCTION :

Best Home Production of the month.

AUDIO :

Achievement in sound editing and sound mixing.

VISUAL EFFECT :

Achievement in visual effects.

BEST PICTURE :

Best AvakinLife’s motion picture of the month.

ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY :

Achievement in original screenplay.

STUDENT :

Best Avakin Academy’s student of the month.

RULE TWO
AVAKINLIFE’s MOTION PICTURE DEFINITION
and
ELIGIBILITY
(1)

AvakinLife’s Motion Picture is an AvakinLife game - animated film is created by using
a frame-by-frame technique, and usually falls into one of the two general fields of
animation: character or abstract. Some of the techniques of animating films include
cel animation, computer animation, stop-motion, clay animation, pixilation, cutouts,
pins, camera multiple pass imagery, kaleidoscopic effects, drawing on the film frame
itself, and with original or dubbed voice technique

(2)

All eligible AvakinLife’s motion pictures, must be :
a.

feature length (defined as over 15 minutes) and it’ include the legal billing (the
film’s opening and closing credits as they appeared in the film).

b.

for a qualifying run on media internet of at least seven consecutive days.

RULE THREE
SUBMISSION
(1)

be accepted.
(2)

Dialogue or narration must be substantially in English or the film must have Englishlanguage subtitles if released in a foreign language.

(3)

Please provide the following for the submission :
a.

AvakinLife user id;

b.

legal billing (the film’s opening and closing credits as they appeared in the film);

c.

url link that confirming the completion of the qualifying release, including the
film’s format, release date, and screening times.

d.

(4)

Poster of the film in two files size :


660 ppi at the original size, typically 40 x 27, RGB color mode;



100 ppi, 230px by 340px, JPG files less than 150kb.

The deadline for receiving all required entry materials is 5 p.m. UTC on Wednesday,
May 25th, 2016.

RULE FOUR
BALLOTING and NOMINATIONS
(1)

Voting on all achievements shall be restricted to active Avakin Life users and Avakin
Academy members will view all avakinlife’s motion pictures entered and mark all
entries 10, 9, 8, 7, or 6 with the guidelines of 10 (excellent), 8 (good), 7 (fair) or 6
(poor)..

(2)

All eligible avakinlife’s motion pictures will be listed in the Academy’s monthly
“Reminder List of Eligible Releases.” Before the Academy makes the Reminder List
available to voters, releasing avakinlife’s virtual companies/agencies/and or other
communities may be required to check their productions as they will appear in the
Reminder List and assume full responsibility for errors and omissions.

(3)

Excellence of the entries shall be judged on the basis of originality, entertainment and
production quality without regard to cost of production or subject matter.

(4)

Voting for nominations and awards shall be by secret ballot. Ballots shall be made
available by the Avakin Academy, and completed ballots shall be received and
tabulated by CMA designated by Constantine’s Foundation.

(5)

In the nominations voting, the marking and tabulation of all ballots shall be according
to the preferential, weighted average, or reweighted range voting system. Votes for
achievements in AvakinLife’s motion pictures not on the Reminder List will not be
counted in the nominations balloting. Tabulation of final ballots shall be according to
the plurality or preferential system. No “write-in” votes shall be counted on the final
ballot.

(6)

Not more than five nominations shall be made for each award, except for the Best
Picture award, which shall have not more than ten nor fewer than five nominations.

(7)

In the event a nominated achievement is declared ineligible by the Avakin Academy, it
shall not be replaced, and the category will remain with one less nomination.

RULE FIVE
ADVERTISING and PUBLICITY RESTRICTIONS
Only avakinlife’s films that receive nominations or Avakin Academy Awards may refer to
their Academy endorsements in advertising and publicity materials. A film that is selected
for the shortlist/reminder list may not identify itself as an “Avakin Academy Award finalist,”
“Avakin Academy Award shortlist/reminder list film” or the like except when it appears in a
program consisting entirely of such avakinlife’s films.
