Need to demonstrate a clear understanding of the problem
that the software is meant to solve.
Expect a critical analysis of existing solutions and options.
Professional standard is expected. This includes justified
technology choices and design decisions; consideration of
requirements, system architecture, appropriate user
interface, security & privacy, ethical or legal issues.
Software code should be submitted. Expect source code
managed properly in a version control system. Code
should be commented and understandable, and follow
standard good practice in structure and style.
Appropriate testing and/or user evaluation should be
conducted to ensure quality of software.
An objective self-assessment on achievements of the
project and lessons learned.
Discussion on future work.
Personal reflection on project process and experience.
This includes aspects of presentation (e.g. clarity of
writing, style, use of diagrams & tables, referencing),
appropriate structure, format and length, and inclusion of
all compulsory sections. It is expected that good projects
will be written in a style and language appropriate to the
