Section A – Letter, Report, Dialogue or Speech
From the topics listed below, write one composition in Arabic, of about 120 words. It will be to your
advantage to keep to the recommended length.

(a) Imagine that your name is Aslam/Fatima and your address is Royal Road, Port-Louis. Write a
letter to your friend describing how you celebrated your birthday.

(b) During recess at school, a student slipped on the staircase and was injured. As you were there at
that time, write a report of what you saw and did.

(c) You returned home late from school. Compose a dialogue between yourself and your mother who
is inquiring about the matter.

Section B – Essay
From the topics listed below, write one composition in Arabic, of about 200 words. It will be to your
advantage to keep to the recommended length.

(a) A baby has been born in your family. Describe the happy occasion and how you helped your
family.

(b) Describe the visit of the Minister of Education to your school.

(c) Write about an incident that happened on an outing with friends.

(d) To what extent can television help a student in his/her educational life?
