This zine is a compilation of submissions
created at the A Page From Our Books:
LGBTQIA+ Zine Workshop, held 4/12/16 in
IDEA Project for people who identify as
lesbian, gay, bi, trans, queer, questioning,
asexual, and/or aromantic, or otherwise
outside cisgender and straight norms.
Also check out Centering Diversity: UW
Bothell and Cascadia College Voices on
Identity! Inclusion! and Liberation, another
compilation zine produced by SJO, Pride
Alliance, Cascadia Student Life, and the
WaCC, which addresses issues of identity
and social justice more broad ty.

misha magdalene moriquendi was found in a
mushroom ring at the heart of a forest grove in an age
before cellphones, and was raised on a steady diet of
smog lollies, boxed macaroni, and yellow-spined
paperback novels. xie was initiated into the mysteries
of gender-of mutual transgresSion and shameful ,
shameless ecstasy-around the time most of xir
colleagues were dancing in gymnasiums. xie is older
now, and has scraped off most of the shame and
macaroni. (xie still likes lollies and paperbacks,
though .)

The Social Justice Organizers are a student-staff
group that works to educate and hold dialogue with
the campus community about topics like social
justice, identity, injustice, and liberation.
Pride Alliance is a UWB stUdent club committed to
creating a safe, respectful space for UWB's
LGBTQ community and its allies.
Cascadia Student Life offers events, programs, and
services which encourage stUdent involvement in
the campus community and enhance the
educational aspects of Cascadia.

Michaella Rosner is a poet, zinester, and femme
agender rabble-rouser. Check out zir zine about all­
gender bathrooms on campus, Empty Gender, Full
Bladder, at the ARC Community Resource Center zine
library.

The Writing and Communication Center (WaCC)
supports students of all abilities, at any stage of the
reading, writing, or presentation process.

Emmett Scout is an irritable queer dude and a soon-to- I
be-graduating senior in lAS. He hopes to go on to a
fruitful career of fighting the system by writing romance
novels.

LGBTQIA+ Zine Workshop was one of a few
LGBTQIA+ community-building events this year,
along with a pride photo booth, friendship-bracelet­
and button-making hangout. It's my hope that this
zine will continue creating community and inspire
more people to write, draw, collage, list, and share
their stories and themselves.
