GEF Private Training Scholarship Application 2016-2017
At GEF, we use academic research and methods and apply them to cutting edge on-field training. We strive to help
develop individuals who will be innovative, intelligent, driven, contributing members of society. School and education are
core values in our player development model. Specifically, we feel that Science, Technology, Engineering, and
Mathematics (STEM) and the arts (i.e., theatre, writing, art) are important in ensuring a positive future for our youth.
We are excited to announce that we will be offering training scholarships for players that excel in these academic
disciplines. Please keep in mind that we will be selecting players that both excel in these disciplines and show
characteristics that will lead to success in elite soccer.

Scholarship Requirements:
1. Fill out the GEF application form in its entirety.
2. Have a parent/guardian fill out the appropriate section.
3. Player must attain a written recommendation by a STEM or art teacher. Recommendation should detail how the
individual excels in a certain STEM/art discipline.
4. A copy of report cards for the past school year. We are looking for individuals who are overall good students and
excel in the STEM/Art disciplines.
5. All materials should be sent to GEF via email including recommendation letter. Email:

6. Only players that currently play on GEF trained teams are eligible for the private training scholarships.
7. All materials are due by July 15, 2016. If you have any questions regarding the scholarship application please
