"Hymn for the Sahara" is a 3 day festival under the stars in the desert of South Morocco. In front of
the stunning backdrop of the Sahara, we celebrate peace, world music and nomadic heritage. You
can relax in the dunes, listen to music and poetry, dance under the moon and enjoy the arts. Next to
the unique atmosphere and special festivities of the desert, you can participate in workshops on
peace and stability and on the fragile environment of the desert.
Join us for a great music line-up featuring:

Oum - Aziz Sahmaoui - Tinariwen
and many more artist from Morocco, Sub Sahara and the rest of the world. The full line-up will be
announced in the coming weeks on social media, please follow us on Facebook or website. Part of
the festival is a special night dedicated to peace and stability in the Sahara and Sahel region called:

in collaboration with “Festival in the Desert” and “Festival sur le Niger”

We welcome you to travel to the Sahara and experience with us the 7 th edition of the Taragalte
festival. By joining us you are not only able to be part of the nomadic lifestyle but also to support the
cultural heritage and the local community. Our family has a long history of working side by side with
the community throughout the year. During, before and after the festival they will all play an
important role and without them the festival can not take place.

1. PACKAGE “1001 NIGHT” / 7 days / 6 nights
Departure/Arrival in Marrakech / October 26 to November 1
Marrakech – Ouarzazate – M’Hamid – Ouarzazate – Marrakech / 1200,- Euro/person
Wednesday, October 26th
Marrakech/Ait Ben Haddou/Ouarzazate
Departure in the morning from Marrakech to Ouarzazate via Tizi N'Tichka (2260 m), through the High
Atlas Mountain Range. You will visit the famous Kasbah of Telouet (former residence of the Pasha
Glaoui) and then continue your journey through the Valley of Ounila to the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou
(International UNESCO Heritage Site) where many famous films were shot. Arrive at your hotel in the
late afternoon. Overnight and evening with artists and festival-goers in Riad Ksar Ighnda.
Thursday, October 27th
Ouarzazate/The Draa Valley/M’Hamid
After breakfast, departure for M’Hamid, travelling through the Draa Valley via numerous small and
picturesque villages and fortified Ksours. Stop for lunch in Zagora, and continuation through the
‘valley of palm trees’ to M’Hamid (the last village before the Sahara). Arrival in M’Hamid village at the
end of afternoon and transfer to the bivouac. Your first dinner and night in the desert!
Friday-Sunday, Oct 28th- 30th
Taragalte Festival
3 nights of luxury camp in the stunning landscape of the desert! Each tent has a unique interior
based on an individual concept using traditional Moroccan materials. Enjoy the privacy of the space,
relaxing and listening to the soft sound behind the dunes with the last rhythms of the night.
Monday, October 31st
M’Hamid/Tamgroute/Ouarzazate
Departure from M’Hamid in the morning and stop in Tamgroute to visit the Koranic library and meet
local manufactures of pottery. Arrival in Ouarzazate in the late afternoon. Half board overnight stay in
your hotel.
Tuesday, November 1st
Ouarzazate/Marrakech
After breakfast visit of the Taourirt Kasbah and departure for Marrakech where we’ll arrive in the late
afternoon.
Included:
- Transport with 4x4 vehicle
- Two nights in a 5***** hotel in Ouarzazate
- Four nights in a luxury tent at festival, full board (2 persons/tent)

Prince. Dinner and night.

sleep under nomadic tents, or stay in a hotel nearby the festival site.
October 31st
After breakfast departure to the festival car park to get your car back or to catch your bus or taxi to
the village.

- 4 nights stay at Bivouac Le Petit Prince in the open desert on a full board basis (2-4 persons/tent)
- 3 days festival ticket

5. PACKAGE “THE FULL MOON EXPERIENCE” / 5 days / 4 nights
Departure/Arrival in M’Hamid October 27 to October 31 – 190,- Euro per person

October 27th
Arrival in M’Hamid in the afternoon on your own. The organisation will bring you to Bivouac Le Petit
Prince. Dinner and night.
October 28th – 30th
3 day Taragalte Festival with all its activities on a full board basis. Stay in the dunes of the Sahara and
sleep under nomadic tents at the festival campsite.
October 31st
After breakfast departure to the festival car park to get your car back or to catch your bus or taxi to
the village.
Included:
- 4 nights stay at Bivouac Le Petit Prince in the open desert on a full board basis (4-6 persons/tent)
- 3 days festival ticket
- Mattresses are provided by the festival organisation
Your own responsibility:
- Transport to M’Hamid (Bus, taxi or your own car)
- Bedding (bring personal sleeping bag)
- Beverages (available at festival site) and personal expenses
