Fernanda Ulibarri & The mexican Standoff
Polkas de amor / country from another country

This has been a great year for Fernanda and she has put it out
on her music and also emerging in to the world of theater. She
released her EP Polkas de Amor, an upbeat fun group of love
songs in Spanish, and now the follow up is out, Country from
another Country. In this EP, Fernanda introduces The Mexican Standoff, a collective of amazing musicians that support
her as a back up band wherever she performs. This EP is in
English and it also plays with the rhythms of polka, norteño
and country, rhythms that live in the border of Mexico and
the US. It is a very emotional EP but still light and fun. Both
EP´s were recorded by Eugene Toale in Bedrock Studios in
Los Angeles.
With her latest album atoma, Fernanda toured Mexico and
the US an played in places such as The Troubador in Los Angeles and Voila and El Imperial in Mexico City. Her songs and
remixes were played in various radio stations (NPR, KCRW,
KPFK, Reactor). Her video Corro went viral, and her video
honoring Gustavo Cerati, Cancion Animal, was programed on
MTV Latin America.
Graduated from Berklee College of Music, Fernanda’s career started in New York City working in recording studios
and playing with her band Uli & The Gringos. Which whom
she put out 2 albums. Simple (2006) and Metropolis (2008). In
2008 she moved to Los Angeles and shortly after arriving she
was invited by Julieta Venegas to form part of her band for her
MTV Unplugged. They played all over Latin America, Mexico, US and Europe.

comparte Country from another Country.
Graduada de Berklee College of Music, Fernanda comenzó
Simple (2006) y Metropolis (2008). En el
