After setting the theme, practically all the actions with the database and webpages will
perform automatically, you will need just to set two plugins. The theme will offer you to
do it, as it is shown on the screenshot below.
You just need to click the button ‘Begin installing plugin’, select the offered plugins and
Creating a new post, you need to choose a Featured Image which will present it. The
theme was tailored specifically to support nice visual presentation of your content.
The theme has settings for links to your social networks as well as the number of the
posts which are shown in the live search and the number of posts that will be shown
after clicking “Load More”. Also here you can input the title and description copy
which will be shown in the presentation block on the main page. To select the image,
you need to present the button “upload image” and pick the necessary image on your
computer or you can select an image in your Wordpress media library. Please
consider that for the best performance the image needs to have high resolution and
the width-to-height ratio of 2.7 : 1
Social Networks Buttons
By default, the buttons of social networks enable a transition to the links of the format
like http://twitter.com. If you leave the field empty, the sign of the social network will
be automatically hidden so it will not be seen on the website. We recommend using at
least 3 social networks (Twitter, Facebook and Google plus) as the built-in plugins
need them. However, do not worry about that too much, if you do not add that data,
the theme will work properly but with the slight changes. Also you can hide the upper
menu: if you do not need it, just remove the tick in “Header Menu”: this operation will
not delete the menu, it can be restored in its full functionality any moment you need it.
Recommended Logo Size
As for the logo, the maximal width-to-height ratio is 3:1, but the best view performs for
the logo with the ratio 1:1.
To get logo settings, you need to move the path Appearance > Customize > Site
Identify in your dashboard. Here you can also select the sign for the browser
On the top of the page there is a built-in menu with links to any webpages. To edit this
menu, you need to move the path Appearance > Customize > Menus and select your
Afterwards you can arrange the menu by yourself, but consider that if you add too
many points it can create too cluttered menu which perhaps will not satisfy users.
The theme supposes the mode of work both with the sidebar and without it. To make
the sidebar active and visible, you just need to add at least one widget into it. The
theme also offers three widgets.
Just drag one of the widgets leftwards to the Sidebar area and it will automatically
appear on your website. Clicking the widget, you will be provided with the menu of
widget settings which enables you to input your data.
Built-in Contact Form
As for the built-in plugins, after you set up Contact form 7, it will work automatically.
The form will be located on the page http://your_domain/contact-us-active-blogger/
which can be reached via the link in footer Contact Us. Please take into account that if
you would like to create your own contact form with the custom structure, you will
have to manually change short code in the part of contact-us-active-blogger.php
However, the built-in contact form has been tested and works efficiently, so perhaps
you will not need to change anything.
