Application Package

We are currently looking for three backpackers from varying backgrounds and experience levels
to star in an upcoming travel documentary. The documentary will follow the adventure of these three
backpackers as they hike over 1500 km into and throughout the Patagonia Region of South America. The
expedition will be roughly four months long, from mid-December 2016 to mid-April 2017, allowing us to
document multiple seasons in the region. We will be basing our expedition along the “Greater Patagonia
Trail” while also following tangents and detours wherever they take us, eventually finishing our journey
in Patagonia National Park. The film will be focused on discovering the beautifully unbridled history,
cultures, and scenery, as we explore one of the largest, and one of the last, truly wild and boundary-free
landscapes in the world.
One of our contacts in the region is the man responsible for heading up the creation and
maintenance of the Greater Patagonia Trail. A relatively new trail that will certainly become one of the
most famous long-distance hiking trails in the world, a through-hike – while completed – has never been
documented before.
If you’d like to know more about the project or the production company, you can find more info
on our website at www.VentureLifeFilms.com, or email us at Patagonia.doc.applications@gmail.com.
Please note that we are a start-up with one low-budget documentary under our belt already, and we are
in the process of launching a whole new social media presence and website for this project with the help
of a professional online marketing consultant.
As of right now, we are in the pre-production stages and are focused on finding a group of three
backpackers from varying backgrounds and with varying levels of experience who will be at the centre of
the documentary as we follow them on this once in a lifetime adventure. Listed below you will find the
