BRAD: Thanks for the notes. As long as this engine is under warranty, we advise following the oil life
monitor. The engine certainly doesn't look perfect in this sample, but these results are typical for a factory
fill that was run almost 9,000 miles. Typical wear for similar Honda engines are based on oil run about 4,900
miles, as seen in universal averages. If you stick with longer runs the engine may never wear exactly like
average, but you'll start to see improvements next time, with metals leveling off over the next few oil
changes. Just check back. You're off to a good start here.
