Support Letter from Academic Advisor
Dear ACM-CCS committee
I’m writing this letter in support of my Ph.D. Student, Amit Kleinmann,
who is applying for student travel support from the conference. Amit is a
member of my research group at the School of Electrical Engineering, Tel
Aviv University. His research area is security of SCADA networks, and
securing cyber-physical systems. Amit is attending the CPS-SPC
workshop to present a paper he wrote (“Automatic construction of
statechart-based anomaly detection models for multi-threaded SCADA
via spectral analysis.”). Amit will also present a paper authored by a 2nd
student of mine (Uri Kanonov), at the ACM SPSM workshop, since Uri
cannot attend due to personal reasons. I strongly believe that attending
the wider CCS conference will give Amit a broader perspective outside
his specific research topic. Thus I am encouraging Amit to travel to
Vienna and attend the ACM CCS conference and both CPS-SPC and SPSM
workshops.
As a graduate student, Amit has minimal travel support from the
university, and the expense of the international trip from Israel is quite
substantial - over $2500.
Whatever funds you can provide to support Amit’s travel to Vienna
would be most welcome!
Yours Sincerely
Prof. Avishai Wool,
School of Electrical Engineering, Tel Aviv University, ISRAEL
