I made this Magnemite to fit the scale of Nichole’s patterns for the #crochetgo project!

Body - Make One
1. Start with white. Working in rounds, sc 6 in ring (6)
2. Inc every st around (12) - switch to grey
3. With grey, inc 1, sc 1 around (18)
4. Inc 1, sc 2 around (24)
5. Inc 1, sc 3 around (30)
6. Sc around (30)
7. Sc around (30)
8. Sc around (30)
9. Sc around (30)
10. Sc around (30)
11. Dec 1, sc 3 (24)
12. Dec 1, sc 2 (18), start to stuff
13. Dec 1, sc 1 (12)
14. Dec all (6)
Finish off and stuff. Sew the remaining hole closed and weave in your ends.

Magnets - Make Two
1. Starting with blue, sc 8 in ring (8)
2. In back loop only, sc all (8)
3. Sc all (8)
4. Sc all (8), switch to grey
5. In grey, sc all (8)
6. Sc all (8)
7. Sc all (8)
8. Sc all (8)
9. Sc all (8)
10. Dec, sc, dec, inc, sc, inc (8)
11. Dec, dec, sc, inc, inc, sc (8) - From this point you can start to stuff, but lightly
enough that you can add wire when you are finished to help the piece keep its
shape. You could even add your wire at this point if you don’t mind crocheting
around it.
12. Sc all (8)
13. Sc all (8)
14. Sc, double crochet next three stitches, sc next four stitches (8)
15. Sc, inc, inc, sc, dec, dec (8)
16. Sc, inc, sc, inc, dec, dec (8)
17. Sc all (8)
18. Sc all (8)
19. Sc all (8)
20. Sc all (8)
21. Sc all (8), switch to red
22. In red, sc all (8)
23. Sc all (8)
24. Sc all (8)
25. In the back loop only, dec all (4)

Gently finish stuffing each piece and thread a piece of wire or a pipe cleaner through
each one to help them maintain their shape. These look best when you don’t stuff them
too firmly.

Feet / Screws - Make Two
In grey, sc 6 in a ring, join with a slip stitch and finish off. With black yarn or embroidery
floss, sew a black X into the center of each foot so it looks like a screw.

Head Screw - Make One
Take two strands of grey yarn at once so you’re crocheting with both strands and sc 6 in a
ring, then finish off with a slip stitch. This will make the head screw a little larger and
more stable than if you were only using one. Leave plenty of ‘tail’ yarn before you make
your ring and finish off with a long tail as well. Weave in your ends to the back middle of
your ring - there should be a total of four ends now. Cut off a long single piece of grey
yarn from your skein and weave it through your ring - there will now be a total of six ends
at the back of your ring. Separate them into three groups and braid them just enough to
give the head screw the length you want. Tie it off and thread it into the top of
Magnemite’s body, using a few stitches to keep it secure if you wish to do so.

Assembly
At this point, weave in any ends that you haven’t already. The head screw should already
be attached, so now you’ll need to sew on the magnets for arms. Make sure you sew on
the magnet colors correctly - see my picture on page one! Sew on his feet and glue a
small felt circle or craft eye into the middle white center to give him his eye. You’re all
done!

Enjoy your Magnemite and happy #CrochetGo!
