The ēCO Savings Race Fifth Edition Kicks-Off
The ēCO Savings Race is back for a 5th
Edition, bigger and better than ever before.

Team Stephenson

Team Wright

In an effort to help more families find financial
freedom, we are shaking things up this season! The
ēCO Savings Race has kicked-off with eight families
divided between three coaching teams. The teams
are working with their coaches to set goals, make
plans, and begin improving their financial pictures.
They will also complete Dave Ramsey’s Financial
Peace University to build a foundation for their
journey. Don’t worry—you’ll be able to follow their
progress on CBS 42, Team Facebook pages, and on
the ēCO Savings Race site. The teams will write blogs
and create video blogs to share tips and keep you
posted on their progress.
In January, the three ēCO Savings Race finalists will
be announced, and they will continue to work closely
with their coaches to exceed their goals. CBS 42 will
also dig a little deeper into their stories to help ēCO
members and the community learn even more.

The five other teams’ journeys will not stop there either. Their coaches will check in with them regularly to be sure they are
continuing to meet their goals.
In May, the ēCO Savings Race 5th Edition will come to a close. One finalist will walk away with the $10,000 ēCO Savings
Race Grand Prize, but none of the finalists will walk away empty-handed. The two teams not selected as winners will each
receive $2,000. The “at home” team that performs the best will also receive $2,000!

Follow along on CBS 42 and at ecosavingsrace.org!

A Message From Your
By Joey Hand

Fall has arrived in the Birmingham area!
As you prepare for tailgates and holiday
travel, do not forget that you can take ēCO
with you. That’s right... with ēCO Online,
Mobile Banking, and Voice Response, even
though you may not be close to your
favorite ēCO branch, you can still access
your accounts. We also make it easy for
you to send and receive money through
P2P in our Mobile App. If you haven’t
downloaded it yet, do yourself a favor and
access it in your app store.
In addition to providing convenience,
we also prioritize helping our members
acheive financial success! We are excited
to offer a variety of solutions to help you
reach your dreams. From October 3rd
through December 23rd, members can
transfer credit card and loan balances to
an ēCO Credit Card at an incredible rate.
Not only will this help reduce interest, it
will also allow you to make one, easy
payment. In addition, we will offer our
popular Holiday Loan in November and
December. The loan will allow you to
make sure you cross off everyone on your
list, without racking up high-interest debt.

And, while you’re thinking about
Christmas shopping, don’t forget about
ēCO’s Christmas Club account. The
account is free and allows you to save for
Christmas throughout the year through
direct deposit or payroll deduction into
the account.
As we look to 2017, we are already seeking
ways to serve you better. Technology and
security will continue to be priorities. We
also plan to increase our ēCO Credit Union
Foundation fundraising efforts, allowing
us to further promote financial literacy in
classrooms and our communities.
With the start of a new season and the
holidays approaching, we, at ēCO, like
to take a moment to reflect on the many
things we have to be thankful for. At the
top of our list is you, our incredible
members. Thank you for continuing to
choose ēCO to meet your financial needs.
We hope to serve you well and provide
solutions for many years to come. From all
of us at ēCO, we hope that you have a safe
and blessed holiday season!

their specialty dishes.

New Teacher Orientations & Institute Days
We are always thankful for the opportunity to
welcome teachers back to school at Institute Days.
ēCO was represented at:

Mountain Brook Institute Day, Homewood
Institute Day, and Vestavia Hills Institute Day.

Report Card Covers
ēCO is proud to provide report card covers for Jefferson County
