Introduction
The biggest issue when it comes to losing weight for most people, is the strict
diet plan. Having to eat meals you don't necessarily enjoy each day to hopefully
lose that 1lb at the end of the week.
For me, i’ve never been able to resist those those oddly shaped crisps that sit
contently inside a long slim tube. That’s why I searched far and wide for a diet
where the occasional snack won’t throw me off track for the rest of the week.
That’s where intermittent fasting came into play.

Biggest problems when losing weight
If you’re like me, and has the occasional snack, it can really throw you off the
diet you’re trying to stick too. Most diets out there consist of things like ‘one
cheat meal a week’ or ‘one chocolate bar a week’ or along them lines. Now i’m
not saying this diet will allow you to eat whatever you want and go off the rails,
no, but it will give you some leeway.
With your more conventional diets, you are really quite restricted. It usually
consists of eating a very low amount of cards or fats, which makes eating not
fun at all. Yes there’s cookbooks and other ways to spice it up, but no one really
wants to be going through all that effort just to make a pasta.
There are a few courses or programs out there that are actually pretty handy,
i’ve tried some of them myself, but this is probably my favourite, and it’s easy to
stick too.

Intermittent Fasting
Ok enough teasing, let’s actually get into what’s involved. If you have heard of
intermittent fasting before, then this will still benefit you don’t worry.
The basic concept of intermittent fasting involves eating in certain time windows,
and fasting for the rest of the time.
For example, what I personally do is, I eat between the hours of 12pm, and
7pm. This gives me an eating window of 7 hours. It’s said that you don't really
want to have an eating window over 8 hours as this will reduce the effect,
although fasting for longer periods increase the effect.
This doesn't necessarily mean you can't intake anything. You can drink zero
calorie substances such as water, or black coffee etc. Some people who can’t go
without breakfast, tend to eat protein only breakfasts in order the still reek the
benefits with little effect lost.
If you’d like to go even further, it’s common for people to go the gym in there
fasted window before they eat. Due to the body only having fat as an energy
source, your body will burn fat instead of other needed nutrients.
