Air Pollution
- One of the biggest environmental threats to NYC Residents.
- Caused by motor vehicle exhaust (cars, buses, diesel trucks)
- Affects children and their prevalence of Asthma
- Mostly targets communities of color and poor neighborhoods
- According to NYC Environmental Protection, vehicles produce various
forms of air pollution which contributes to an estimated 6% of annual
deaths.
