Broadcast network

Global reach
From the group stage to the final, the UEFA
Europa League is followed by fans around
the world thanks to an extensive broadcast
network. Its scale is most evident at the final,
with Sevilla FC’s victory against SL Benfica aired
in more than 120 countries to an estimated
global average audience of 60 million viewers
and a unique reach of 190 million viewers. Host
broadcaster Mediaset supplied images of the

match for 116 rights-holding broadcasters
worldwide, many of whom were on-site to deliver
their own customised programming to their
audiences back home. A total of 724 staff from
45 rights-holding organisations worked at the
final, 12 of which had their own unilateral on-site
productions. There were 55 television and radio
commentary positions operational in Turin.
