Observance of the Lord’s Supper
Candle Lighting Ceremony
During the Candle Lighting Ceremony, the deacons will light their candles from the Christ
Candle and proceed to light the candles of persons next to the center aisle, who will, in turn,
light the candle of the person next to them. When lighting candles, the person with the lighted
candle should keep the candle upright, and the person with the unlighted candle should tilt
his candle toward the lighted one. This will prevent wax from dripping.

Carol 91: Silent Night, Holy Night
Carol 89: O Come, All Ye Faithful
Please extinguish all candles when we finish singing.

Benediction
The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of
the shadow of death a light has dawned. Jesus Christ is our life and light.

Giving Goal: HK$1.1 million
All offerings given today, unless otherwise designated, will go toward
the World Mission Offering, which assists mission endeavors in Hong
Kong and around the world. The goal for the World Missions Offering
is created by combining both the goals for the International Mission
Offering and the Home Mission Offering. The International Mission
Offering Goal has been set at $700,000, and the Home Mission Offering
Goal has been set at $400,000. Thus, the total World Mission Offering
Goal is $1,100,000. Collection will take place through the end of
December.
KIBC Red Packets for Chinese New Year
Pre-order red packets at 25% off through the church website
(www.hkkibc.org) or through the KIBC app. Counter sales of red packets at
full price will take place in January.

KIBC Coin Bank Collection—Sunday, January 8
Coin bank funds will be collected on January 8, from 9:30am—12:15pm in the
church office. You will receive a passbook to keep a record every time the
funds are collected. Persons with 10 or more stamps will have their names
permanently displayed in the new building. This is a great way to get children
involved in our building project! (Coin banks are still available for purchase at
$300 each in the church office.)

The Lord’s Supper

KIBC observes the Lord’s Supper every month and on other special occasions.
We warmly invite to our Lord’s Table all those who are baptized followers of
Jesus Christ who have placed themselves under the authority of Jesus Christ
and have been involved in His body, the Church. By eating the bread and
drinking the cup with us, you are acknowledging that you are a sinner saved
by the grace of our Lord Jesus and you have trusted in Jesus Christ alone for
your salvation. You are also recommitting your life to following Jesus Christ as
your Lord.
If you want to become a follower of Jesus Christ and be baptized, please speak
to one of our deacons or pastors and we will be pleased to discuss your
commitment to Jesus Christ with you. If you are not a follower of Jesus Christ,
we invite you to use this time to be quiet before God. Thank you for sharing
this time with family of God known as KIBC.
