For financial institutions, content creation is nothing new. What has changed over time is
how they deliver this information. Advisors remain the main distribution point, but they are
increasingly branching out to other platforms, like their websites and social media.
One Fortune 100 financial institution in particular has been looking to expand even further;
to go beyond its own channels and broaden the impact of their content. As they put it to us:



Content has always been part of client services, so now we are
taking those same assets and thinking about how we can grow
our customer base by reaching a wider audience.


As part of this effort to expand the reach of their content, the company recently ran a test
campaign with six content amplification vendors to see which were most effective.
Given the heavy regulation of the financial services industry, and the fact that they are
dealing with clients’ money, the goal was to find platforms that would position the content
in a respectful way in front of consumers who truly wanted trustworthy advice.

The test
The test itself was fairly simple: two six-week trials with the top content amplification
vendors on the market to compare and contrast results. The first round was used to
experiment with the platforms, and the second was used to refine the offerings and
focus on metrics.
To measure success they looked at more than merely clicks. Vendors were evaluated
on the deepness of each user’s engagement aſter consuming a story, and the cost to
generate a valuable user activity on their site beyond the story itself.
The result: aſter the second round of testing,

News360 ranked number one of the six platforms examined.

Why did we come out on top?
The answer - our personalization technology. News360’s platform doesn’t merely
deliver content — both branded and unbranded — by category; instead our
algorithms determine each user's interests and create a unique home feed of stories
they find most interesting.
