My name is Jasper Burik and this is my second
big zine of 2016. Try saying that three times fast!
Anyway, enough kidding around. I wanted this
zine to be about one of my favorite things: music.
I have music to thank for being a catalyst in many
of my dearest friendships. For shaping some of
the best moments of my life, as well as helping
me out of some of the worst. For giving my core
identity a hot rod paint coat and some tools and
oil and some snacks and a lifelong companion.
Anyway, enough kidding around. As they say in
showbiz, get on with it or you're outta here!

Music affects us in many
different ways.
One classic way that
music affects people is
by making them want to
dance!

Have you ever listened to a song that made you sad?

How about a
song that made
you want to
smile for days
at a time,
without rest?

Sometimes we will hear a song in public that makes us want to cry but we
try to hold it in because we only came to costco for some paper towels and
409 and not to have to deal with these feelings.

Sometimes we hear a song that is out of this world!

Most of the time the songs we hear are well
within the confines of this world.

Sometimes we hear a fat beat and can't help but to get funky with our
buddy!

Music can drum up a memory of an old friend long since passed.

On the other hand, music may attract wild birds or dogs to the workstation.

Music can
inspire us to do
the right thing,
whether it's
exercising our
bodies,
preparing a
meal, or raising
awareness.

On the other hand, music can cause us to do
things we later regret sorely.
