Dear Parents and Students,

We are proud to present to you ​StarT Foundation’s 24 Hour Badminton!​ This fundraising event will be a
relay of playing badminton over the course of 24 hours, taking place in the school sports hall.

Basic Details :
Date: 16:00 Friday 17th February 2017 - 16:00 Saturday 18th February 2017
Venue: Sha Tin College Sports Hall

Students who participate in this event will be raising funds for Longyuan school in China via Concordia
Welfare & Education Foundation.

We encourage students to support this charity, which aims to:
● Implement programs for poverty alleviation in rural China.
● Give impoverished children in China suitable resources to receive a proper education.

Things to note:
● No prior experience is required to participate, EVERYONE is welcome to join!
● Students are not required to play for the whole 24 hours - The event will run in a rotation system of 1 hour
sessions.
● There will be teacher supervision at all times during the entire event.
● There will be first aid qualified teachers on site at any given time.

● Security guards will be present on school premises.
● Dinner and breakfast will be provided, and snacks and drinks will be sold at the site.
● Sign ups are on a first come first serve basis.



Students are expected to commit to the spirit of the event and be present for 24 hours.

To secure a place in the event, include a donation of $450 (cheque only) when returning the reply
slip on the following page.
Extra donations are not required but would be greatly appreciated!
A fraction of this donation will go to covering the costs of running the event and the remainder will go ​fully
towards the charity​.

Monday 6th of February​ during ​first or second break​. Please remember sign ups are on a first-come,
first-serve basis.
