FRECKLES

Freckles are skin stars.

Close up of a woman’s freckled face. Sunkissed.
Attempted to create a watercolor-esque digital
painting with unblended brush strokes.

Used desaturated, complementary colors to
highlight the vibrancy of the lighter colors. Quick
digital sketches characterized by loose lines and
monochrome shading.

ROTATION

A partial workshop orthographic drawing of
an interpretation of a Kinderdijk Windmill from
the Netherlands. All measurements given in
millimeters. Orthograph drawn to an
approximately 1:2000 scale.
Self directed | AutoCAD

Finished Product

The windmill itself was made from square
baking toothpicks held together by white
glue. The left column shows the separate
components of the wind mill before it
was put together. The right side shows
the front view, side view, 3/4th view and
back view respectively.

Phone and desktop wallpapers aiming towards
aesthetics and minimalism. The rotation of simple 3D shapes, progressing into more complex
composition. These 3D figures create different
dynamics as the perspective changes. Their hard
edges and geometric faces juxtapose nature’s
organic, flowing lines.

LUMO

Lumo was a year end project for Industrial Design 300.The goal
of the project was to make two different clocks that may be
sold in the same product line for a company.
The project restrictions limited my materials to a simple clock
mechanism and four sheets of black and white Sintra plastic.
In the ideation process, I planned to have lights in an enclosed
space, with cutouts for the increments of the clock. I would
then have a disk behind the cutouts but infront of the lights. This
disk would be attached to the clock mechanism and act as the
hour hand, with a hole allowing light to shine through the cut
out increment corresponding to the hour.
The diagram on the right shows the components of the disk
mechanism and the order they required to be installed inside
the enclosed body. The top bend of the Sintra plastic piece is
glued to the top of the clock frame. This acts as a stablizer for
the actual mechanism, as it cannot be screwed onto the clock
face like intended.

CLOCK MECHANISM EXPLODED

Clock
Mechnism

A self-made circuit is taped on to the
back cover, featuring two LED lights, a
switch, 4 CR2032 button batteries, and
wires wrapped in electric tape to prevent
short circuiting.
The clock hand mechanism that blocks
out light failed to succeed in the white
clock, as the increment cutouts are too
close to the edge. The disk could not spin
smoothly while blocking all cutouts. I discarded the disk for the white clock and
all increments light up when the switch is
turned on.The mechanism was successful
in the black clock. The time displayed on
the black clock is 2:24.

The metal panels give the building a flowing, dynamic feeling while its glass body gives
clear visual permeability. The AGA contains
historical and contemporary art, including
various installation, painting, photography
and sculptural pieces.

Alberta Legislature Building
Completed in 1913
Allan Merrick Jeffers and Richard Blakey
The Alberta Legislature Building adopts characteristics of Beaux Arts styled building with a large
central dome and symmetrical T-shaped plan.
Arched doors and windows are decorated with
b
baroque styled elements.
Both buildings - the Alberta Legislature and the
AGA are both landmark buildings within Edmonton. The juxtaposition between AGA’s modernist
architecture and the Legislature’s neo-classical
architecture intrigues Edmontonians and tourists
a
alike.
