We are a 62-year-old fellowship in a rejuvenating period of opportunity,
growth, and change! We are enjoying the first of two years with Rev. Tracy
Springberry as our transitional minister, and our Director of Religious Education is about to retire after 20 years. We are looking for a half-time Interim DRE to guide us through a two-year period of transition, and to help us
shape a children’s RE program that will not only serve the needs of our current families but welcome and retain our newcomers. WHUUF has about
125 members, with an RE program of about 40 children from nursery
through high school.

 Works with the congregation and
minister to help define the future RE
program and scope of the DRE
 Develops programs and curricula
based on UU principles and
traditions including the OWL and
Coming of Age programs.
 Maintains a safe and welcoming
environment for children and
 Recruits, supports, and supervises
teaching staff and volunteers.
 Works with the RE Committee to
plan, carry out and evaluate
programs and special events.
 Keeps the congregation informed
about the RE program.
 Maintains accurate records of
enrollment and finances. Provides
input to budget planning and
manages the RE budget.
 Attends WHUUF meetings as needed
to exchange information, coordinate
RE activities, and advocate for the
needs of children in RE.
 Maintains active involvement with
the larger UU community.
