- We have a duty to make clients aware that all approvals and permissions should be satisfied before installation.
- Is the property suitable for PIC? We will assess the property with our experienced staff to ensure the properties suitability.
- We will meet with building regulations and all other regulations laid down by the concrete society 2004 edition during
subsequent installation.
- Plans from services may be required prior to excavation and can be obtained through your supplier upon request.
- PIC is a product that by its very nature is not an exact science. It is a formed craft that is produced in situe. No two PIC
products are the same and so surface blemishes are inevitable due to weather and site conditions. Inspection of some of
our previous installations is recommended

Should you decide to go ahead with this quote, you will be asked to sign a Final Survey Report
outlining site, boundaries, pattern, colour, extras, and stage payments as above.
Complete Driveway Designs Ltd standard terms and conditions will apply and you will legally have
a seven day cooling off period after which you will be sent a detailed installation program.
Upon completion of the job you will have access to our product user guide which outlines how to
look after the product.
Our current lead time is approximately 6-8 weeks. A standard installation is usually completed
in around one week depending upon size and complexity

Driveway Specification
The contract will include full excavation of area and removal from site of all spoil and
waste. The area will then be shuttered and pegged and a base of MOTT, or similar will
be formed.
Once the ground work has been completed, a pour of P300 mix or similar wil be
put into the prepared area. Each cubic metre contains 300kg cement, 890kg fine
aggregate and sand, 965kg 10mm limestone. Also included is Polypropylene Fibre mesh
reinforcing and 5% entraining agent, slump (S2) dependant on weather conditions.
Depth of concrete will be 100mm throughout.
The area is then screeded and bull floated to ensure correct falls and inclines, then
coloured and printed to your choice and left to cure. During this time the area is "wet"
and traffic must stay off. The area remains "wet" for 24-36 hours depending on the time
of year.
Upon hardening the area will be washed off and allowed to dry, crack control joints
will be added where necessary, before sealing with an acrylic sealant. Please keep
vehicles off site completely until 48hrs after sealing. Please refer to "User Guide".

Excavations will generally be a minimum of 200mm deep unless suitable sub-base is
exposed.
Membranes are used on all interior concrete laid. It is not necessary or required for
exterior concrete unless specified.
The contractor should be satisfied that the existing sub-base is suitable.
Concrete will be ordered with requirments particular to the ambient conditions.
The mix is a basic guidline mix, there will be seasonal variations.
In the occasion that 10mm aggregate is not available then 20mm will be used.
The seal is a one coat application, as standard it is a gloss finish.
The required amount of thinners is dependant on usage.

Detailed Answers
A1. Businesses are dynamic and we are no different. We have evolved from a sole trader to a partnership and
in 2003 we became a Ltd company.
A5. All our vans are blue with the white CD Designs logo and all our employees wear company uniform with
the company logo.
A6. The Guild of Master Craftsman ensure we are operating in a professional manner. They promote help and
advise, and would act as an independent mediator on the event of any disputes.
A7. CD Designs offer a five year guarantee against faulty workmanship or materials. It guarantees the finest
quality materials that are available to us. These are outlined on our website.
A8. We have a maintenance department dedicated to looking after all our installations. This is not exclusive
to our install customers. We will repair, re-seal and maintain any PIC installation.
A9. We have a booking fee of £250 + VAT to secure your slot in our calender no matter what the size or complexit
of the job. We don't ask for any money until the concrete is installed. On placement of concrete we will expect
to collect the bulk of the payment, minus £250 + VAT which is payable on the day the installation is sealed.
A10. At the bottom of the quotation are two addresses which are local to you. These addresses are
installations by ourselves and can be visited at your discretion.
