The 2017 Fabulous Furbaby Cotillion

Fundraising from events benefits Canine Rescue of Augusta, South Carolina.
Only 3 day event ticket holders may attend all events.

Friday Event
INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION
This evening is dedicated to our diverse world and international friends. Furbabies will be
dressed in costumes that represent their country of choice. Appetizers will be served for all
attendees.
Competition Judging Criteria
Costumes should accurately represent the chosen country and identified era.
Costumes will be judged on quality, design originality, and suitability for the furbaby.
Only furbaby costumes will be judged.
Personality and star quality of the dog will also be judged.
Contest Categories
Mr. and Miss International (receives crown, trophy and sash)
1st and 2nd runner up (receive trophy)
Best designer for furboy costume (receives trophy)
Best designer for furgirl costume (receives trophy)
Entry Rules
Open to any attendee including previous Cotillion winners.

Food
Appetizer bar, dessert bar, non-alcoholic beverage, and furbaby appetizer bar (grilled chicken
and veggies). Cash bar will be available.

Saturday Event
2017 FABULOUS COTILLION
This is the featured event of the 2017 Fabulous Cotillion weekend. Furbabies will be dressed in
their finest black and white themed outfits created by their favorite designers. Registration
begins promptly at 6:00 PM. Dinner will be served for all attendees.
Competition Judging Criteria
Only furbaby outfits will be judged. Carriages or other props will not be considered in the
competition.
Furbaby outfits will be judged on suitability and comfort for the furbaby, quality of
construction, and originality. Contestants will only walk the runway once for judging of all
categories.
Personality and star quality of the dog will also be judged.
Contest Categories
Top Honors Mr. and Miss Cotillion (receives trophy, sash, crown and additional prizes)
Best Evening Gown and Best Tuxedo (receives trophy)
Best Gown and Tuxedo Designer (receives trophy)
Gentle Furboy and Miss Congeniality (receives trophy and sash)
Mr. and Miss Ambassador (receives trophy and sash)
Mr. and Miss Photogenic (receives trophy)
Entry Rules
Mr. and Miss Cotillion, Gentle Furboy/Miss Congeniality categories are open to any attendee
with the exception of previous winners in these categories.
Mr. and Miss Ambassador and Mr. and Miss Photogenic categories are open to all attendees.
Only one of these two categories may be entered by previous Cotillio n winners.
Mr. or Miss Photogenic Contest, please bring an 8 x 10 photo of your dog in clothing which must
be submitted Friday when you check-in at the event. No entries will be accepted after Friday

night. Please put dogs name on back of photo. Only 3 day package event ticket holders may
enter this contest.
Food
Choice of three course dinner to include salad, choice of entree, fish, chicken or beef, non alcoholic beverage and chocolate lava cake desert. Dinner will be served at 630pm. After you
purchase your ticket you will receive an e-mail from lauragianna@att.net asking for dinner
selection. Chicken and steamed vegetables and dessert will be served to your furbaby. Cash bar
will be available.
Fundraising
50/50 Raffle. Tickets will be $25 with a 50/50 split between winning ticket holder and rescue.

Sunday Event
POLO BRUNCH
Brunch begins at 12:00 Noon. There will be a special menu of 6 different items to choose from
including non-alcoholic beverage and desert. A cash bar will also be available. Grilled chicken
and veggie plates will be available for furbabies.
Contest Information
This is the only event of the weekend that will be judging fur parents and furbabies. You may
only enter one category. Props and skits are acceptable. This is the fun and crazy contest of the
weekend. Use your imagination and be creative.
Judging Criteria
Contestants will be judged on originality, interpretation of the selected category, ability to
convince and influence judges. Bribing not allowed.

Each category competes for 1 st place trophy, 2 nd and 3 rd place silver and bronze medallions
