Dear Mr. Kevin O’Leary,
I am writing to you today as it saddens me that you avoided at all costs having a
conversation with representatives who are standing behind Canadian Firearms Owners.
You have spoken out saying you believe in firearms rights, yet you purposely avoided
questions from a representative who is fighting for all Canadian Firearms owners.
You mention one of the reasons why you are running for office is to be a leader who will
help small businesses, and someone who will fight for us. I would like to point out most
of the firearms businesses in Canada are entrepreneur’s, starting and running their
businesses to set themselves free as well as create jobs in the local economy. You made
a statement saying “We owe it to our future generations to set them up to have the
same great opportunities past generations were given.” Not addressing the questions
from legal firearms owners is contradictive to your statement, as firearms owners, and
firearms businesses are all looking to build a stronger economy and environment for the
next generation.
You stated “I have had enough of Prime Minister Trudeau’s mismanagement, so I have
decided to fight for all Canadians. I hope I can count on your support.” If you are truly
willing to fight for all Canadians, then why, Mr. O’Leary are you avoiding questions from
Canadian firearms owners? Firearms have been a part of Canadian heritage since the
founding of our great country, and Prime Minister Trudeau has shown he is willing to
disregard having tough conversations with the firearms community.
Mr. O’Leary I urge you to not make the same mistakes that Prime Minister Trudeau
made, and stand behind Canadian firearms owners. Canadian’s deserve the right to
have their voices heard, and Canadian firearms owners are the most respectful,
stringently vetted citizens in our country with daily CPIC records checks. We as legal
firearms owners are put through more constant background checks then our doctors,

the daycare workers who protect our children while we are at work, and the politicians
who represent us.
Mr. O’Leary this is a call to action for you to affirm your position as a Conservative Party
Leader candidate on firearms ownership in Canada. Stand behind Canadians who help
stimulate the Canadian economy with a 15 billion dollar industry, and keep
entrepreneurs in business providing legal and responsible firearms ownership.
I look forward to your response,

Nathan Picklyk
