A Guide to Your Legal "Spring Cleaning"
With the warmer weather approaching the Spring is a great time to
take a look at any legal issues and "clean" them up! Examples
include:
Updating your Advance Directives, such as your Health Care
Proxy, Living Will or Power of Attorney;
Updating any Last Wills & Testaments or Trust documents;
Reviewing any property tax documents to ensure the proper
exemptions are in place;
Looking at your retirement savings process;
Checking your insurance coverage - both medical and life; or
Setting up an estate plan to ensure protection and
preservation of your estate.
You should always make sure that your estate plan is up to date and
that death, birth, marriage, divorce, relocation, or anything else has
not affected the plan you have set up.
