Voter Segmentation
Working jointly with Code for America and a local political candidate to improve analytics support for small campaigns, as well as increasing civic engagement by partnering
with voter registration efforts. Leveraging public data to create models for voter behavior.

Natural Language Processing
Identified and analyzed reddit comments containing hate speech made in the month
surrounding the November 2016 Presidential election. Utilized a SQLite database to store
and stream data, and used online learning methods to create a hate speech classifier.
Spring 2016
Statistics Practicum Course Project
Time Series Analysis
Analyzed soil data, with an emphasis on uncovering relationships between soil cover
and temperature. Performed data cleaning, imputed missing data values, and identified
future areas of research. Presented project at the close of the semester at the Undergraduate Research Symposium, as well as to the climate office staff.
