‫نيابة عن الطالب واإلدارة و الهيئة التدريسية فإنه لمن دواعي سرورنا أن‬
‫نرحب بكم في النشرة اإلخبارية األولى لمدرسة الجودة للتعليم الثانوي ‪.‬‬
‫لدينا توقعات كبيرة لما يمكن أن يحققه طالبنا ونسعي جاهدين كي ننمي لدى‬
‫كل طالبنا حب التعلم من خالل المناهج اإلبداعية الجديدة‪ ،‬بحيث يتمكنوا‬
‫من إحراز تقدم جيد وتحقيق أفضل النتائج‪ .‬و يصبح الطالب أفرادا ٌ ناجحين‬
‫لديهم الثقة في أنفسهم في عالمنا المتغير‪.‬‬

‫مدرستنا ‪OUR SCHOOL -‬‬
‫مدرستنا لديها تاريخ يعود إلى مدرسة الصديق التحضيرية التي‬
‫افتتحت في عام ‪ .4691‬انتقلت هذه المدرسة وتغيرت أسماءها‬
‫عدة مرات‪ .‬في عام ‪ 4691‬انتقلت إلى الموقع الحالي‪ ،‬وفي عام‬
‫‪ 7112‬أصبح اسم المدرسة الجودة الثانوية للبنين‪ .‬اليوم في‬

‫مدرسة الجودة الثانوية للبنين لدينا حوالي ‪ 091‬طالب وطالبة‪.‬‬
‫مدرسة الجودة دائما بتحسين وآخر التطورات هو صالة‬
‫االنجليزية حيث يمكن للطالب استخدام اللغة اإلنجليزية في بيئة‬
‫مريحة لالسترخاء‪ .‬نيابة عن قسم اللغة اإلنجليزية نحن جمع‬
‫التبرعات لهذه الصالة‪ .‬أي مساعدة مع تأثيث هذه المساحة سيتم‬
‫تقديرها‪.‬‬

‫‪Our school has a history going back to Al-Siddeeq Preparatory School which‬‬
‫‪opened in 1964. This school moved locations and changed names a couple times.‬‬
‫‪In 1980 it moved to the current location and in 2007 it became Al-Jawdah‬‬
‫‪Secondary School for Boys. Today at Al Jawdah Secondary School for Boys we‬‬
‫‪have around 380 students. Al-Jawdah is always improving and the latest‬‬
‫‪development is an English Lounge where students can use English in a relaxing‬‬
‫‪comfortable environment. On behalf of the English department we are soliciting‬‬
‫‪donations for this lounge. Any assistance with furnishing this space will be greatly‬‬
‫‪appreciated.‬‬

‫الخطط المستقبلية بعد التخرج من المدرسة الثانوية‬
‫من األهمية بمكان بالنسبة للجميع في حياتهم التفكير في الخطط‬
‫المستقبلية لما بعد التخرج من المدرسة الثانوية‪ .‬لذلك العديد من‬
‫األفكار تأتي إلى أذهاننا‪ ،‬وهناك الكثير من الخطط للتفكر بها‪.‬‬
‫تبدأ جميع هذه الخطط عند دخول المدرسة الثانوية‪ .‬عندما انضممت‬
‫للمدرسة كان لدي حلم لدراسة الهندسة‪ .‬الشيء الوحيد هو أن تقرر‬
‫أي كلية ‪ /‬جامعة تريد الدراسة بها‪ .‬تركيزي الحالي هو النجاح في كل‬
‫المواد بنجاح مع تحقيق نسبة عالية من شأنها أن تمكنني من اختيار‬
‫التخصص أريد‪ ،‬سواء هنا في دولة اإلمارات العربية المتحدة‪ ،‬أو في‬
‫الخارج في ألمانيا تحت إشراف عمي‪ .‬أنا أفضل الدراسة في الخارج‬
‫في ألمانيا‪ ،‬وهذا هو السبب في أنني سوف اسعى لتعلم اللغة األلمانية‬
‫عبر اإلنترنت أو من خالل الكتب لكي اكون جاهزا لمواجهة العالم‬
‫الجديد هناك‪ .‬باإلضافة إلى ذلك‪ ،‬ال بد لي من االعتماد على نفسي في‬
‫إدارة الروتين اليومي ألن والدي لن يكون هناك معي لرعايتي كما‬
‫يفعل اآلن‪ .‬وسوف أدرس بجد واحاول العثور على وظيفة بدوام‬
‫جزئي حتى أستطيع أن أعيل نفسي‪.‬‬
‫ليس لدي كلية ‪ /‬جامعة معينة في االعتبار االن‪ ،‬ولكن مع مساعدة من‬
‫عمي‪ ،‬سوف اكون قادرا على اختيار األكثر مالءمة لي‪ .‬هدفي‬
‫النهائي هو إنهاء دراستي والحصول على مستقبل مشرق في‬
‫المستقبل‪.‬‬
‫باختصار‪ ،‬يمكننا أن نجعل أحالمنا تتحقق إذا خططنا بشكل معقول‬
‫وإذا عملنا بجهد كاف لتحقيق هذه الخطة وفقا لذلك‪ .‬كل ما نحتاج إليه‬
‫هو اإلرادة والعزيمة‪ .‬أما بالنسبة لي‪ ،‬سوف أبذل قصارى جهدي‬
‫واعمل بجد إلنهاء دراستي الثانوية‪.‬‬

‫‪Future plans after graduating high school‬‬
‫‪It’s crucial for everyone in their lives to think of his/her future plans after graduating‬‬
‫‪from high school. So many thoughts come to our minds and there are a lot of‬‬
‫‪plans to think of.‬‬
‫‪All these plans start when you enter high school. I have in mind that I am going to‬‬
‫‪study engineering. The only thing is to decide which college/university I am going‬‬

to attend. My current focus is to pass all my subjects successfully with a high
percentage that will enable me to choose the specialization I am interested in,
whether here in the UAE, or abroad in Germany under the supervision of my
uncle. I prefer studying abroad in Germany, and that is why I am going to learn the
German language via the internet or books to be ready to face the new world
there. In addition to that, I have to depend on myself in managing my daily routine
because my parents won’t be there with me to take care of me like they do now. I
will study hard and try to find a part-time job so I can support myself.
I don’t have a specific college/university in mind, but with the help of my uncle, I
will be able to choose the most convenient one. My ultimate goal is to finish my
education and get a bright career in the future.
In a nutshell, we can make our dreams come true if we plan reasonably and if we
work hard enough to fulfill this plan accordingly. All we need is the will and
determination. As for me, I will do my best and work hard to finish high school.

Al Jawdah Career Week 2017
Al Jawdah Career Week 2017 will expose our students to career opportunities via
presentations from local and international companies thereby promoting current
and future career awareness. The structure will be a “round-robin” format whereby
the presenters will rotate from class to class. Only students in the general sections
will be availed to the “round-robin” presentations. Select students will have a
panel discussion in the auditorium. These students are required in advance to
prepare clear and coherent questions in English. Furthermore, panelist and
presenters will be represented by industry professionals to bring a 21 st Century
perspective which will better prepare our students for a smooth transition into the
workforce.

Masterclass:
The Masterclass took place at Al Jawdah
school on Wednesday 1st of March and was
attended by RAK Boys, Al Ameer Boys,Al
Raefah Boys and Hatem Al Tae Boys. The
event was a great success and the students
attending thoroughly enjoyed participating.
Thankyou to Mr Ibrahim Jawi and all English
teachers for all their hardwork in making this
event such a success.
Al Jawdah students came first in the final
competition. Congradulations and well done
to all who participated.

Parents Information Day:
Parents information day was held for the first time ever for mothers only on 22 nd
February.
Success at school begins at home. Parents are the single most important variable
in a child’s education and outside experiences.
One of the hallmarks of an exceptional school is a continuous partnership between
the school and parents who work together for the best interest of children. The
close partnership between home and school is a strength that we at Al Jawdah
school would like to build upon and therefore will continue in the future with inviting
both mothers and fathers to the school to discuss their sons progress.

Computers in the classroom
Computers are one of the most popular and influential machines of all time.
Nowadays all people around the world have computers and laptops which means
they have become an essential part in our lives. I am going to share how I use a
computer in the classroom. There are many ways to use a computer in the
classroom. For example, webquest. This guides students to search the Internet for
specific information. Another way to use computer is to create a class webpage.
This gives the teacher the ability to post announcements, share photos, send
assignments and upload downloadable material. Furthermore, students can reach
the site easily and smoothly. Moreover, I always login to my school’s online
grading system, (sis) to see my marks and grades. The most useful and effective
way of using computers in class is to search for whatever lesson you want, after
that you can open related videos or pictures and explanations for a specific
lesson. Using many software programs (Word, PowerPoints, excel, AutoCAD,
123D Design, eclipse and Net Support) helps students to learn better and more
effectively.

‫ ‪CREATIVE DESIGN AND INNOVATION‬‬‫التصميم اإلبداعي واالبتكار‬
‫مادة التصميم اإلبداعي واالبتكار‪:‬‬
‫هي مادة جديدة ابتدأ تدريسها العام الحالي للحلقة الثالثة‪ ,‬ويتم‬
‫تهيئة الطلبة في المرحلة التاسيسية او الحلقة الثانية بمادة التصميم‬
‫والتكنولوجيا‪ .‬فالتصميم هو مرحلة مهمة من مراحل انتاج السلع‪,‬‬
‫فهو تنظيم و تخطيط عدة عناصر للوصول الى الهدف‪ .‬الهدف‬
‫من المادة هو اعداد األجيال الستخدام و تطبيق مهارات التصميم‬
‫في جميع امورهم المستقبلية‪.‬‬
‫‪Creative Design and Innovation Subject:‬‬
‫‪It is a new material began to be taught this year for the third cycle, and students‬‬
‫‪are initialized in phase constituent or second cycle taught design and technology‬‬
‫‪subject. The design is a critical stage of the production of goods, and the‬‬
‫‪organization is planning several elements to reach the goal. The aim of this‬‬
‫‪subject is to prepare generations for the use and application of design skills in all‬‬
‫‪future complications.‬‬

‫مهارات الحياة ‪LIFE SKILLS -‬‬
‫المهارات الحياتية مع ليزا‬
‫المهارات الحياتية هي مادة جديدة في المناهج الدراسية‪ ،‬وتهدف‬
‫إلى إعداد ابنك للحياة في العالم الحقيقي‪ .‬كما أنها تلعب دورا‬
‫حيويا في إعداد وإعطاء فكرة عن المهارات المطلوبة أثناء‬
‫الخدمة الوطنية‪ .‬وقد أكمل طالب الصف العاشر مؤخرا مشاريع‬
‫فردية على القيادة‪ .‬وكان المشروع تحديدا عن صاحب السمو‬
‫الشيخ زايد بن سلطان‪ ،‬وكان يشمل الخصائص التي جعلته واحدا‬
‫من أعظم القادة في العالم‪.‬‬

‫‪Life skills with Lisa‬‬
‫‪Life skills is a new subject in the curriculum and is designed to prepare your Son‬‬
‫‪for life in the real world. It also plays a vital role in preparing and giving some‬‬
‫‪insight into the skills required during National Service. Grade 10 students have‬‬
‫‪recently completed individual projects on Leadership. The Project was specifically‬‬
‫‪about HH Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan, and had to include the characteristics that‬‬
‫‪made him widely regarded as on of the worlds great modern Leaders.‬‬

‫هو نظام قياس وطني يقوم على امتحانات الكترونية معتمدا على‬

What is EmSAT?
The EmSAT is a national system of standardized computer-based tests, based on
national standards.
EmSAT Administration (Academic year 2016-2017)
EmSAT implementation will start for the scholastic year 2016-2017 as the
following:
EmSAT Achieve
• EmSAT Achieve English, Arabic, Math and Physics will be conducted this year
for all Grade 12 Emirati students in public & private schools.
• EmSAT English Achieve is also required for all Grade 12 non-Emirati students
who are studying in schools using the MOE curriculum in public & private schools.
• Registration is currently available through the portal for the English, Math, and
Physics tests. Further information regarding the Arabic tests will be announced at
a later date.
• EmSAT Achieve English will replace CEPA for college entry, while Arabic, Math
& Physics results will be shared with public universities who may use the results at
their discretion.

Why Arabic Language?
Arabic is very valuable in the lives of the Arab people. It is the language of the
Holy Quran and a protector of this nation and its civilization. It is one of the most
fascinating languages around the world. It has a letter that no nations can
pronounce and rich with wonderful phases and vocabulary. One advantage of
Arabic is that it is concise; it is the language that Allah has chosen to be the
language of the Holy Quran. This means that nobody can learn the Quran without
understanding Arabic.
Arabic language is one of the oldest languages that still keeps the characteristics
of having nice meanings and a lot of imagination. It became a tool for millions of
people to recognize each others. Its origins and roots did not change and will
never change as long as humanity will live on Earth.

Islamic Studies:
Islam is the official religion of the UAE and one of the world’s great faiths. It forms an
integral part of the social and cultural fabric of the nation, and is central to the lives of
many of its inhabitants. An Islamic education entails not only understanding of the tenets
of belief, modes of Islamic worship and rules for Qur’anic recitation, but above all shapes
a Muslim’s character and interaction with other people.
As a public school, The Islamic Studies curriculum at Al Jawdah School is set by the
Ministry of Education in the United Arab Emirates .The course is taught in Arabic. The
curriculum helps students learn all the important principles and practices of Islam, study
the Qur’an and understand Hadith (sayings of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon
him).

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Tanseem Haq and I
am the Lead Teacher at Al Jawdah Boys school.
I would like to thank
The English Department for your hard work in providing an engaging and supportive
learning environment for the students and the untiring commitment to ensure that each and
every one of our students is provided with an opportunity to excel academically,
physically, and socially.
I would also like to thank the vice principal Mr Ali Mohammed Ismaeel for his
organizational skills, hardwork and contribution to the smooth running of the school.
And finally I would like to thank our Prinicpal Mr Ibrahim Jawi for his continous support,
help, and dedication. Thank you for empowering your staff and most importantly your
students in being the best we can.
