Tarvin Village
The village of Tarvin appears as a substantial manor in
the Domesday Book and a Saxon Cross dating from
10th/11th Century was unearthed here some years ago.
The original 12th century church of
St Andrew’s was re-modelled in
the14th century with further extension in the 15th century. It bears
physical evidence of Henry VIII’s
separation from Rome and the
English Civil War.
Within a short walk can be found
Mrs Roosevelt Flies
the ‘Roman’ Bridges, on

Peddlars Way— road to

Holyhead.
The village is served well by a selection of shops and
businesses, two churches, veterinary surgery, dentist,
doctors’ surgery, 2 pubs and a primary school.
In 2014 the annual June Village Fete was re-established
proving very popular and involving the whole community
