"On the second day of the festival we decided to get in on that wild bus,
pumped by the sound of Pás de Problème. There are no words to describe what
was happening inside, never a crowd inside a bus was so agitated: everybody
jumping, high energy, non-stop music with some of the crowd trying just to
stand and some others just letting it all go. It was sweaty, charged up, and
pretty much mind blowing and we've might lost 2Kg each on that night"
in ruc.pt, sobre o Vodafone Mexefest 2015
Pás de Problème highly performative parties are a gateway to a new realm of
possibilities to the body and the nowadays highly explosive environment, under the
wings of a prolific generation of artists based in Lisbon, Portugal. The surrealist
expression mixed with a fire wired brass ensemble creates a contemporary sound that
represents not only a state of art in Lisbon but also the mixing styles and the
destroying walls, speaking for those who resolve the struggle of an economical world
by creating, thinking and moving: as an answer to a struggle, life happens. To what
could be just another world-music-band, PÁS - as they call it - became one of the
honest and fierce representations of a local Lisbon, mixing the world in a hot boil
exotic speed parties.
The shows, having up to 4 hours, are pretty close to the voodoo made a few Km down
Portugal or the unstoppable will of the Latin contemplation inspired by the dreams of a
desert far far away. Followed by an always increasing number of colossal crowds, the
exotic Pás de Problème as one of the hottest secrets of the Portuguese underground.
"This Lisbon band is an overwhelming gypsy punk locomotive, a kind of Gogol
Bordello collision with Bregovic, Mano Negra and even Mr. Bungle. All of it
moved by a fierce horn section, a flaming violin and an unstoppable singer.
Despite the scorching heat, the audience responded the call of the singer,
celebrating and engaging in enthusiastic dances."
in Jornal de Notícias, sobre o SuperBock SuperRock 2016
"A problem is to describe a Pás de Problème show, you have to see it to believe
it. If you have the chance to watch this guys, go for it, it will certainly be a
unique experience: what a mad, wild Party!"
in RTP.pt, sobre o SuperBock SuperRock 2016
