State-of-the-art Dance center Move Studios now
available for Private events in one of Largest Private
Event Space in Monterey County
Move Studios, a state-of-the-art dance and movement center in downtown Monterey, is now
available for rent as a space for private events in one of the largest spaces available for such
events in Monterey.
Monterey, CA, March 24, 2017 — Move Studios, a state-of-the-art dance and movement center in

downtown Monterey, is now available for rent as a space for private events in one of the largest spaces
available for such events in Monterey.
With 6,300 square feet of total space, five studios, cutting-edge sound system, basket-woven sprung
floors, and plenty of natural light, Move Studios is now one of the most desirable locations for a private
event in Monterey County.
In addition to the five studios, the venue has a large reception area, lounge and dressing room. Plans are
in the works to add another studio, with Phase 2 to add another 2,500 square feet of space.
The venue is perfect for unique private events, such car events, fundraisers, corporate events and
celebrations for those 21 and older.
Move Studios is located in what was originally the historic Union Ice Factory, built in 1930. A major
renovation was recently undertaken to revive the buildings. The renovation preserved some of the
interesting elements of the past and blended the industrial style with modern elegance and technology.
The rehabilitation and repurposing of the Ice Factory building received the 2016 Preservationist of the
Year award from Monterey County.
Kristin Minnich, who was born and raised in Monterey and is an avid lover of dance and a student of
ballet, is the owner and founder of Move Studios, which was inspired by Le Centre de Danse du Marais
in Paris, the dance co-op where she started dancing as a young adult.
Contact Move Studios for more details on how to plan that perfect event at the perfect space.

About Kristin Minnich
Kristin Minnich is the owner and founder of Move Studios. She was born and raised in Monterey and is
an avid lover of dance and a student of ballet.
She has had the opportunity to travel and take classes at many wonderful studios in urban areas
throughout the world and has taken inspiration from what she has learned.
It became a dream of hers to bring a dance center to the active, fitness-loving Monterey Bay Area. After
years of raising her two children and renovating old buildings, she finally found the perfect space to
bring her dream, Move Studios, to life.
Move Studios was inspired by Le Centre de Danse du Marais in Paris, the dance co-op where she started
dancing as a young adult.

She dedicates Move Studios to her mother, Mimi Schramm, who has been dancing for 67 years, and
who gave her the inspiration and passion to realize this dream.
