an opportunity to make friends and learn skills to help

This 6-week program focuses on improving
communication, emotional support, and quality of life for
people with cancer and their care partners.

John Krauss, MD, University of Michigan
This workshop will provide an overview of
immunotherapy, including a brief history and detailed
information about current immunotherapeutic agents
available. Dr. Krauss will discuss the use of
immunotherapy in melanoma, kidney cancer, lung
cancer, bladder cancer, and Hodgkin’s lymphoma, as
well as speculation for new uses of these medications.

Join us for a panel discussion exploring the ways in
which cancer affects the Black community. Topics include screening and prevention, health information
seeking, disparities in diagnosis, care and outcomes,
and psychosocial care, with ample time for Q & A.

Blanchard & Walker, PLLC
This workshop will provide an overview of the laws
protecting cancer patients in the workplace and offer
practical tips on how to exercise your rights and
communicate with your employer. Learn about your
options for taking time off work and working with
accommodations during treatment. Employment
protections for caregivers will also be covered in this
