This year’s Strides for Hope team will be traveling November 10-13 to South Padre
Island, Texas, the Sandcastle Capital of the World and home of the ultimate Runcation
weekend! The South Padre Island Marathon, Half-Marathon and 10k begin at the historic
Port Isabel lighthouse, cross the crystal waters of the Laguna Madre via the 2.5-mile
Queen Isabella Causeway, to the sun-soaked shores of South Padre Island. White sand
beaches, sandcastles, palm trees and enthusiastic spectators line the route to your finish
line at the largest beach bar in Texas!

communication, emotional support, and quality of life for

John Krauss, MD, University of Michigan
This workshop will provide an overview of
immunotherapy, including a brief history and detailed
information about current immunotherapeutic agents
available. Dr. Krauss will discuss the use of
immunotherapy in melanoma, kidney cancer, lung
cancer, bladder cancer, and Hodgkin’s lymphoma, as
well as speculation for new uses of these medications.

John Krauss, MD, University of Michigan
This workshop will provide an overview of
immunotherapy, including a brief history and detailed
information about current immunotherapeutic agents
available. Dr. Krauss will discuss the use of
immunotherapy in melanoma, kidney cancer, lung
cancer, bladder cancer, and Hodgkin’s lymphoma, as
well as speculation for new uses of these medications.

Island, Texas, the Sandcastle Capital of the World and home of the ultimate Runcation

Port Isabel lighthouse, cross the crystal waters of the Laguna Madre via the 2.5-mile
Queen Isabella Causeway, to the sun-soaked shores of South Padre Island. White sand
beaches, sandcastles, palm trees and enthusiastic spectators line the route to your finish
line at the largest beach bar in Texas!

the Cancer Support Community. Join us for dinner followed by relaxing near
the water, or head out on the river for paddle boating, canoeing, or
kayaking! In the event of rain, we will have dinner and games in the livery.

MAY AND JUNE 2017 FREE PROGRAMS

This year’s Strides for Hope team will be traveling November 10-13 to South Padre
Island, Texas, the Sandcastle Capital of the World and home of the ultimate Runcation
weekend! The South Padre Island Marathon, Half-Marathon and 10k begin at the historic
Port Isabel lighthouse, cross the crystal waters of the Laguna Madre via the 2.5-mile
Queen Isabella Causeway, to the sun-soaked shores of South Padre Island. White sand
beaches, sandcastles, palm trees and enthusiastic spectators line the route to your finish
line at the largest beach bar in Texas!

Community of Greater Ann Arbor. Whether you are a walker, runner, novice or veteran,
we will help you prepare for race day success!
