‘Leader in Me’ Cheat-Sheet
‘Leader in Me’ is a schoolwide character-education model based on “The 7 Habits of Happy Kids”. We voted to implement this program
at MES because all of our students deserve a comprehensive education that fosters practical, positive life skills in addition to academic
preparedness. Many of our kids face challenging circumstances over which they have no control, and it hinders their confidence and
motivation at school. Providing them with leadership opportunities shows that we value their importance and believe in their potential.
When our kids apply the habits to their responsibilities, they experience intrinsic and extrinsic success. Students are then able to value
their own importance, which empowers them to fulfill their potential.
